This is St. Louis Metro’s ASA Umpire Website! We are excited to continue moving forward using the available technology to better serve our umpire association. You should notice a few changes throughout the entire site. We will continue using our Twitter service (STLMSUA) to keep you informed – please “follow us” to get the latest announcements. We have added information regarding the new Mobile ASA site which you can easily access from your smart phones! We have modified several of the pages throughout, and you are encouraged to browse to see what’s new!
We will continue to update the various “Honors” pages during the upcoming months. If you would like to participate in the Medals Program, please complete the application from our “Forms” page and submit it. Speaking of our “Forms” page, many of the documents have been changed enabling you to now type in the fields, print, and then mail the document. We are working to get each of these documents formatted so that you can either save them to your computer and attach them to an email, or send them directly to the association, but this has not been consistent yet. Please be sure to have the latest version of Adobe Reader (Free) installed on your computer.
A New tab available this year is the “Tournaments” site. St. Louis ASA will host more tournaments this coming season. The plans are to increase the Fast Pitch and Slow Pitch Tournaments in the St. Louis Metro Area. Fast Pitch umpires MUST learn how to navigate this site beginning this year! Slow Pitch umpires should become familiar with it as we will increase its use in the future.
We will have several clinics again this year. Check out our Calendar Of Events for a group listing of upcoming activities! If you have only been umpiring a few years, or did not make a clinic last year, then you MUST attend clinic time this year to remain in good standing. The easiest way to meet this requirement is to attend one of our two “Metro Clinics” this spring. We will have one for Fast Pitch, and one for Slow Pitch! The more clinic time you put in this spring, the better you will be prepared this summer!
In closing, please contact your District UIC, and your league coordinator to let them know what your goals and plans are for this season. Anything we can do to help you reach your goals and ambitions, we will attempt to accomplish! Have a great spring, and we look forward to seeing you at our scheduled clinics!
